A TEXT ON VEDIC LORE May my food and my impetus, and my effort and my influence, and my intellection and my mental power, and my intonation and my Vedic mantras, and my absorbing voice and my hearing, and my light and my pleasure prosper by sacrifice //1// May my Prāṇa(in breath), Apāna (outward moving air), and my Vyāna (circulation of air pervading entire body), and my vital spirit, and my memory and my wisdom, and my voice and my mind, and my eye, and my ear, and my strength and my valor prosper through the sacrifice//2// May my highest vigor (ojas) my strength, and myself and my body, and my shelter and my armor, and my limbs and my bones, and my joints and my well-built bodies, and my longevity and my old age prosper through the sacrifice. //3// May my eminence and my over lordship, and my anger and my resentment and my unpredictability, my cool mindedness (like water) and my impetuousness, and my possessions and my greatness, and my magnanimity and excellent conduct, and my abundance and my worldly possessions, and my increase and improvement prosper by sacrifice. //4// May my conscious of truth and my faith, my progeny and my wealth, and my belongings and my philanthropy, and my diversion towards sports and other games and my extreme delight, and my children, and my future children, and my proficiency in Vedic hymns and my sacred conduct prosper through the sacrifice. //4(5) // May my religious rite and my permanency, and my freedom from tuberculosis and my freedom from sickness, and my life-strength and my longevity, and my freedom from opposition and freedom from fear, and my happiness and my sleep, and my fairy dawn and my fairy day prosper through the sacrifice. //5(6)//May my restrainer and my supporters, and my protection and my toleration, and my world and my mighty deeds, my wisdom and my worth knowing, and my begetting and my propagation, and my plough and my harrow prosper through the sacrifice.//6(7) // May my material and spiritual welfare and my comfort, and my affection, and my religious desire and my wish, my calm-mindedness and my purity of gratification, and my immense supremacy and my substance, and my pleasure and my felicity, and my enormous riches and my fame prosper through sacrifice. //7(8) //May my food and truthful speech,*satyáñca//……. is identified as mantra no.4. Same has been followed till mantra no. 28(29) May my food and truthful speech, and my milk and my medicinal juices, and my butter and my honey, and my meals in company and my drinking in company, and past and future, and my secured path and my wholesome diet, and my prosperity and my achievement, and my power and my ambition for strength and my thought and my advanced intellect prosper through the sacrifice. //10(11) //May my growing paddles and my barley, and my pulses and my beans, and my sesamum and my grams, and my kidney-beans and my grams, and my millet and my excellent rice, and my wild rice and my wheat and lentil prosper through the sacrifice. //11(12)//May my stone and my clay, and my hills and spectrum of mountain ranges, and my pebbles and my medicinal herbs, and my gold and my iron, and my sapphire and my gold and precious stone, and my lead and my tin prosper through the sacrifice. //12(13)// May my fire and my water, and my creepers and my plants, my corns with culture-ripened fruit and my corns ripen in the wild forest, and my domestic animals and my wild animals, and my substance and my gain, and my all-worldly benefits and accompanying advantages prosper through sacrifice. //13(14)//May my treasure and my comfortable dwellings, my religious service and my capability to perform sacred rituals, and my wealth and my noble effort, and my direction and my speed prosper through the sacrifice. //14(15) //May my Agni and my Indra, and my Soma and my Indra, my Savitār and my Indra, my Sarasvatī and my Indra and my Puṣan and my Indra, and my Br̥haspati and my Indra prosper through the sacrifice. ||15(16)||May my Mitra and my Indra, and my Varuṇa and my Indra, and my Dhātā and my Indra, and my Tvaṣṭā and my Indra and my Maruts and my Indra, and my Viśvedevās and my Indra prosper through sacrifice. ||16(17) ||May my Pr̥thvī (earth) and my Indra, and my Antarīkṣa (intervening space in between celestial earth) and Indra, and my Sky and my Indra, may my Samās (presiding deities of rain) and my Indra, may my constellation and my Indra, may my directions and sub-directions and my Indra prosper through the sacrifice. ||17(18) ||May my Aṃśu and my Raśmi, and my Adābhya and my Adhipati, and my Upāṃśu and my Antaryāma, and my Aindravāyava and my Maitravaruṇa, and my Āśvinas and my Pratiprasthāna, and my Śukra and my Manthī (all the vessels used in the Soma Sacrifice) prosper through sacrifice. //18(19) //May my Āgrāyaṇa and my Vaiśvadeva, and my Dhruva and my Vaiśvānara, and my Aindrāgna and my Mahāvaiśvadeva, and my Marutvatīya and my Niṣkevalya, and my Savitrya and my Sārasvata, and my Pātnīvata and my Hariyojana (all the vessels used in the soma sacrifice) prosper through sacrifice. //19(20) //May my Sṛc (ladle) and Camas (cups), and my Vāyavya (air) and my Droṇakalaśa (Soma reservoir), and my Grāvāṇa (pressing stone) and my Adhiṣavaṇa (mortal and pestle), and my Putabhṛt and my Ādhavanīya, and my Vedī (altar) and my Barhis (altar-grass) and my Avabhṛtha and my Svagākāra prosper through the sacrifice. //20 (21) //May my sacrificial fire and my Pravargya for performing the Iṣṭi, and my Arka and my Surya, and my Prāṇa and my Aśvamedha, and my Pr̥thivī and my Aditi, and my Diti and my heaven, and my pointing fingers, powers, and the sky-regions prosper through the sacrifice.//21(22)//May my sacred vows and my inter seasons, and my austerity and my Samvatsara, and my day and my night, and my thighs and my knees, and my great Rathantaras Sama prosper through sacrifice.//22(23)//My One and Three, and my Three and my Five, and my Five and my Seven, and my Seven and my Nine, and my Nine and Eleven, and my Eleven and Thirteen, and my Thirteen and my Fifteen, and my Fifteen and my Seventeen, and my Seventeen and my Nineteen, and my Nineteen and my Twenty One, and my Twenty One and my Twenty Three, and my Twenty Three and my Twenty Five, and my Twenty Five and Twenty Seven, and my Twenty Seven and my Twenty Nine, and my Twenty Nine and my Thirty One, and my Thirty One and my Thirty Three may prosper by sacrifice.//23(24)//May my Four and My Eight, and my Eight and my Twelve, and my Twelve and Sixteen, and my Sixteen and Twenty, and my Twenty and my Twenty Four, and my Twenty Four and Twenty Eight, and my Twenty Eight and Thirty Two, and my Thirty Two and Thirty Six and my Thirty Six and my Forty and my Forty and Forty Four and my Forty Four and my Forty Eight prosper by sacrifice. //24(25) //May my eighteen months bull and cow, and my two years bull and cow, and my thirty months bull and cow, and my three years bull and cow, and my four years bull and cow prosper by the sacrifice.//25(26)//May my six-year bull and my six-year cow, my impotent bull and my barren cow, and my young bull and my calf-slipping cow, and my ox and my milch-cow prosper through the sacrifice.//26(27)//Offering to Vāja, offering to Prasava, offering to Apijāya, offering for Kratu, offering for Vasu, offering for Aharpati, Ahan, Mugdha, offering to Mugdha Vainaṃśina, offering to Vinaśin Āntyāyana, offering for Āntyāya, offering to Bhauvana, offering for Bhuvanapati, offering to Adhipati, offering for Prajāpati. This is your kingdom. You are the incarnation of noble qualities and a guiding controller for the fiend. You for strength, you for rain, you for the lordship of the creatures. //27 (28)// May life succeed by the sacrifice. May life-breath thrive by the sacrifice. May the eye thrive by the sacrifice? May the ear thrive by the sacrifice? May the voice thrive by the sacrifice? May the mind thrive by the sacrifice? May the soul thrive by the sacrifice? May Brahma (knower of the four Vedas) thrive through the sacrifice. May light thrive through the sacrifice. May heaven succeed by sacrifice. May heavenly pleasure thrive by the sacrifice. May sacrifice thrive by sacrifice. May the verses of praise of the Atharvaveda, the Yajurveda, the Ṛgveda, the Sāmaveda and the Br̥hat and Rathantara thrive through the sacrifice and may all the Gods attain happiness. May we become the true children of Prajāpati (the creator). May we get immortality through noble deeds. //29// //Thus ends the Camakādhyāyaḥ//
